Estimating support that fits into how you already work

Most builders and trades know their costs well. What is often missing is the time to measure a full set of drawings properly before a tender closes. Aussie Estimating takes on that measuring and pricing work and hands back a breakdown you can review, adjust and put your own margins on.

We work from the documents you provide, ask questions when something on the drawings is unclear, and set out exactly what has been included, excluded and assumed. That way you can see the basis of every figure rather than just a total at the bottom of the page.

Aussie Estimating is based in North Melbourne, Victoria, and works with clients across Australia.

What we value

The principles behind every estimate

  • Clarity

Every estimate shows quantities, rates and allowances in a format you can follow. If a number matters, you should be able to see where it came from.

  • Practical detail

We measure and describe work the way it is built and bought on Australian sites, using familiar units, trade groupings and terminology.

  • Straight communication

If drawings are incomplete or a detail is ambiguous, we raise it early instead of guessing quietly. Any allowances we make are flagged.

  • Confidentiality

Your drawings, pricing and tender information are used only to prepare your estimate and are not shared with other parties.

How we work

Our working process

Each job follows the same steps, so you know what to expect and when you will hear from us.

  1. Review the documents

We check the drawings, specifications and addenda you send, and note anything missing or unclear.

  2. Agree the scope

We confirm which trades and sections are included, the format you need and a delivery date, then send a quote. Pricing depends on the project type, size, complexity and scope.

  3. Measure and price

Quantities are taken off the drawings and priced, with allowances and assumptions recorded as we go.

  4. Hand over and follow up

You receive the estimate, usually within 2–3 days. Revisions within the agreed scope are free of charge.
